Who Am I?

At heart, I am a dedicated pet lover and a mom to 6 Doodles & Poodles! In 2017, I fell in love with my first Doodle, Lugh (Swissy Doodle), while attending Master Dog Training School. His daddy was the first dog I trained, and from that moment on I was hooked. Along with his 5 siblings, we have traveled back and forth from Tennessee to Alaska over the past few years.

I am a retired veteran with over 26 years of service to our country. After my retirement in 2016, I decided to become a Dog Trainer, so I attended a 6 month residential course (1200 training hours) located in Harmony, NC where I earned my Diploma as a Master Dog Trainer.

After graduation, I got married and took over the family farm for approximately 4 years until Grandmother passed away. It was then that I started to move forward with my Dog Training career here in Alaska.

What do I do?

As a Certified Master Dog Trainer, I focus on breeding quality dogs that possess the traits necessary to thrive as a family pet as well as a service dog. My training focuses on socialization, obedience, and teaching disability-focused tasks. My passion for helping others and my love for dogs drive everything I do.

Every dog has the potential to be a life-changing companion, and it's my mission to unlock that potential through proper training and care.

Whether it's a playful puppy or a seasoned service dog, my expertise and personalized approach ensure that each dog reaches its full potential and becomes a source of comfort and assistance for those in need.

Reach out to me to learn more about how my services can benefit you and your beloved companion(s).

Sincerely,

Anita C. Covington

Why do I do it?

I am a 100% totally and completely disabled veteran and I also have a niece and nephew who have disabilities. I began to conduct research and discovered how many people with disabilities cannot afford a trained service dog, which can cost up to $20,000.

Through research, self-education, and training I developed a vision where I help people train their own service dog, and I would also have the ability to provide an appropriate dog at an affordable cost if they do not have one.

Not every person understands that not just any dog can be a Service Dog. They must have an even temperament, be easily trained to act properly in public, as well as perform disability related tasks as their job. This process can often take up to 2 years, depending on the dog.

I have the ability to help members of my community, and that is my mission.
